Cookies

MacBook Pro(Retina, 15 inch, Early 2013); 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7; 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3. Since upgrading to OS X, Safari seems to have lost its ability to slow or block cookies. I normally allow fourteen cookies to reside on my computer to ease visiting frequented sites. This morning viewed ONE news site to acquire 48 additional cookies, 159 from last night.


I've done all the Privacy preferences twice and still get infected with these cockroaches. Who has a good insecticide?

1. Empty Cache


Safari > Preference > Advanced

Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.

Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.


2. Delete Cookies


Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:


Click the “Details” button.

Remove all cookies except ones from Apple, your internet service provider and banks.
