Display sleep - awakes with mainly "green" screen

OS X 10.11 (15A284)

MBA (2014)

DVI-HDMI converter

3rd party monitor

When the display is re-activated after it has been asleep, the screen has a mainly green hue - as if the red channel is missing.

This occurs consistently whenever the computer is "awoken" from display sleep or computer sleep since OS X 10.11 was installed.

This never happened with 10.9 or 10.10.

(And this does not occur with my iMac and external monitor).

I understand that when your MacBook Air wakes from sleep while using an external display, you see a green tint to the screen. To begin troubleshooting this situation, I would recommend reading over and working through the information in the following article.

This article includes several steps including checking connections, resetting the system, and resetting the resolution that I would suggest working through.

1. This began after updating to 10.11

2. This never happened in 26 months with 10.9 and 10.10.

3. I've checked the cables obviously - and it works after disconnecting and re-connecting - but this is forced by coming out of sleep in the first place.

So, as I clarified in the first post, it is NOT a hardware issue. It is NOT a cable issue. It is a 10.11 issue.
