Photos, iPhone, and Adobe Bridge

Hello,

I use Adobe Bridge and Photoshop for managing my photo library. Historically, I used Bridge to download the photos on my iPhone that I kept in a specific folder on my computer. Since the release of Photos, I can no longer seem to access the iPhone through Bridge. I would like to use Photos to manage my iPhone photo library, but have a few questions:

1) How do I bring photos stored on my Mac into the Photos library?

2) How does Photos handle iCloud photos? Are photos I take with my iPhone that go to iCloud permanently downloaded to my Photos for Mac library? Or will I occasionally need to import like I have done with Bridge previously?

Thank you for your help!

1 - file menu ==> import or drag them to the Photos icon in the dock

2 - this totally depends on your settings - you choose - If you use iCloud Photo Library the you have a single library for all devices and all changes made anywhere are made everywhere - there are other services each different including iTunes Sync, MyPhoto Stream, USB import - you choose what you what to do

And note that you can not use both Photos and Bridge on the same photos
