Photo Crash (FaceCoreEmbedded) after Capitan Upgrade

I upgrade to capitan, i had no problem with photo before

Upgrade OK

I open Photo : OK

I plug an iPhone to upload some pics into Photo

During the importation, Photo crash (FaceCoreEmbedded plugin )

After That, each time i try to run phot, it crash with the same message (see below)

I restore last photo library (backup before capitan upgrade), the i run photo

I repairs the database, then open it correctly, i can see my pics

During the importation, Photo crash ... and you know the rest of the story ... I cannot use photoanymore...

reboot : same issue

First repair the library according to this Apple document: Repair Your Library and try importing again.

If Photos still crashes as a test launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it? This will tell us if the app is at fault or the library.

--> Done, Cannot start Photo, same issue (facecore)

If Photos still crashes as a test launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

--> Yes it persists !, during (or just after) importation of the 10 last pics of the iPhone, Pohotop crash, always for the same reason

Launch Disk Utility and repair your boot drive. Reboot and try again.

Done , nothing special in the dialog box, reboot:

-Launch Photos Photos open 5 second, then crash using the previous test lib

-Launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import 5 photos and photo crash at the end of import ...

Very disapointing .. .

OT, thanks for your help,

I contact apple Support for this issue, they call me back 1 day later as expected,

I explained to them the issue, and all actions already executed

- they ask me to do a RAM Reinit & another thing to reinit (i don't remember the term) --> Same issue with Photo

-Then, Reinstall El Capitan --> Issue is FIXED after reinstall

->i reconfigure photo on the initial library, , all is OK, i have all my photos, and i can import new photo from my iPhone without crash

Yes

Hello, I have the same problem and have tried to re-install el capitan. It does not allow me as I have to sign in the app store and that is when I get a new error message.

Is there anything else I can do. This is vey frustrating and I still can't access my photos.

If you already have El Capitan installed to reinstall it boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down) and reinstall from there. It's easy and quick.

Yes ! that's the way, if i remember well, you will have to sign on the apple store with your regular account during the process

i use this method successfully , and after that, Photos works perfectly
