Light scribe Software not recognized

Since updating my iMac to El Capitan, my pawtec light scribe software is no longer recognized. I have tried re-installing it but get "The installation Failed" message with the explanation "the installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install". I contacted pawtec and they said they are getting the same message and my only choices are to return the light scribe device or wait for El Capitan to do an update that will fix this. Does anyone know of another solution, a light scribe device that will work with El Capitan, or when that update may occur? I have a big project that I am working on and will need to start my DVD labeling soon! Thank, stolleee

Contact the developer of the app and see if they produce a version that will run on El Capitan. Apple does not directly support third party applications, the tech support people at Pawtec are giving you the run around.

Lightscribe was a technology developed by Hewlett Packard, I would recommend contacting them to see if a) they still support it and b) if they make any external LightScribe DVD writers that work with El Capitan.

Good luck.
