I can't scan from my HP Envy 4504 since the recent upgrade to ElCapitain

Now that I have updated to El Capitan on OS 10.11 I can't scan direct from my HP Envy 4504 printer any more. I noticed from the forum that others were experiencing similar problems with other types of printers. I have tried everything including resetting printer settings etc from the help section but that does not seem to work.

Was wondering is it even possible for me to UNINSTALL this ElCapitan update??????
