Using Garageband 10.1, more often than not, when I click on a patch in the library, I get this message :
The preset you are attempting to load was created with a newer version of Alchemy than you have installed, so it cannot be loaded.
How do I correct this?

In addition to this problem, everytime I open Garageband, the restore sound library menu item is reactivated. I do the restore, get the Alchemy message, and once again the restore sound library item is again reactivated. No matter how many times I restore, the same keeps happening.
apparently this problem has been sorted in Logic but like you i get the same in garageband. As I understand it Apple purchased alchemy and presumably have updated it but without including the update in Garageband
I'm having the same issue, and only noticed it after updating Logic Pro X, though I can't be sure if there's truly a correlation there. I'll be watching this thread intently.
