Q: Tells me my security code is wrong. It is not. Now what

WWhen entering my credit card number in apply pay, it tells me I have entered security number wrong. I have not. Not what do I do?

    Hi Debbie

     

    Unless you are adding an American Express card, your card's security code is the last three digits that are printed on the signature strip on the back of your card. For American Express cards, it is the 4-digit code on the front of the card (top right hand corner).

    I Have entered the four digit code correctly.  It keeps telling me it's not cirrect

    What type of card are you trying to add? (eg Visa, MasterCard, American Express).

    So presumably you are entering an American Express card.  As Jonathan explained, that is the only card with a four-digit security code.

     

    Assuming that is true, then are you certain you are entering the code for the current, activated version of this card?  If you are, then I suggest telephoning American Express (their phone number should be printed on the card) and verifying you are using a card with the correct security code.
