After updating to El Capitan OS, when I open MacMail, MacMail immediately go to >3.0 GB of memory and essentialy locks-up the computer.
Any similar problems with solutions?

iMac, Just installed 10.11 El Capitan
There is no such application as MacMail, if you are referring to Mail then try the solution this user found in:
The WiFi is turned off. The Activity Monitor app is opened.
Upon opening Mail, the mail app memory use goes to about 3 GB in about 5 seconds and locks-up (hangs) the computer.
Anyone have any suggestions. I have not seen any other problems with El Capitan OS. Yet?

I have the same issue. Apple Mail is using all available ram and is slowing down may MacBook Pro i7. I have switched to AirMail and will come back to AppleMail once a fix is found...
