Does the adapter conduce simple USB input from 30-Pin peripherals?

Many classrooms use wired 30-Pin keyboards. Will they still work under IOS 9, on lightning port-equipped iPhones, iPod Touches, or iPads?

I bought it, and it works with macally ikey30 as well as with cable jive plus passthru adaptor.

these were the two peripherals i was interested in using and they do work using this adaptor under ios 9
