How do I turn of iMessage
hi I am wondering how I turn of iMessage so I can just send someone a normal text message but what if they are using iMessage

You can go to Settings > Messages and turn iMessage off. It is turned off on my phone. If you send a message to someone who has an iPhone with iMessage turned on, they will receive the message as a normal SMS or MMS text message and if they don't have an unlimited messaging plan they may be charged by their carrier.
