Font size in Podcasts app is too small! Is there a way to make it bigger?

I am in my early 40's, and since I updated to iOS 9 I can no longer use the podcasts app unless I am in a brightly lit room, the font is too small! Which is a shame, because I use (used) the app in the evenings and at bedtime on my iPad mini. I am afraid to upgrade my iPhone to iOS 9 now. How small will the font size be on it? It is kind of funny, even the font size as I type in this comment is too small for my eyes, which have been hovering on the edge of needing reading glasses in low light conditions for a few month now. Thanks for tipping me over the edge, Apple! Are all of your programmers and testers in their twenties and thirties? Why does the font need to be miniscule?
