Q: unable to download OS X EP capitan

Go to the App Store menu bar click Store > Sign Out

Restart your Mac then launch the App Store then back to the menu bar click Store > Sign In

Then try downloading El Capitan.

If that doesn't help, a Safe Mode boot deletes system caches that may help.

Top left corner of your screen click the  Apple   > Shut Down.

After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold down the Shift key. You should press the Shift key as soon as possible after you hear the startup tone, but not before.

Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

Once you are in Safe Mode, go back to the Apple  menu. From the drop down menu click:  Restart

Then try downloading El Capitan again.

About Safe Mode

I tried these steps. The DL halts after a minute.
It might be because of a slow ADSL line.

Is there any FTP access to this file, leaving me an option to DL with a client that is less sensitive for low speed and interuptions?

hello, this is what happening :

the download is almost full but gives an error at the end, i restart computer retry , it starts back at 6.05 giga and gives the error after ten minutes.....

the same thing happened on another similar desktop i have

any suggestions?
