9.0.2 wont restore backup from 8.4.1

Iphone 5S.

I have tried this multiple ways, but after loading 8.4.1 backup, iphone loops on bootlogo.

I have fresh installed 9.0.2 and then erased contents and tried.
I have tried restore backup during install.

Only thing that seems to work is fresh install of 9.0.2 and re-loading all my apps/ calendar events etc.

But i have a lot of other stuff (messages for example) that are on that backup which wont load.

can't downgrade anymore either........ thanks apple.

Seems to get to the very final reboot after loading content and then loops the bootlogo.

(then the charging ding goes off every few seconds)

Any ideas?
