Hope someone can help?
Both my versions of Quark 8 and Quark 9 wont open up a selection of my Quark originated (from same Mac Mini) files.
Some open fine, some start to open then stop about 2 thirds along the way of the load up bar
The files will open on our other Mac Mini
Can any one help? Its very frustrating and no idea how to resolve it

if these files open on another Mac, it's likely that it's an issue with your setup on your Mac mini.
Have you deleted QuarkXPress' preferences? Also, you might want to check the fonts you use, maybe one is corrupt on the Mac mini?

Turned out to be a rogue font, and since deleted everything has worked fine
Quark support themselves where NO help and now only support Quark 10 upwards, unless you pay them more money How helpful!!

Every version has its life span.
Support on QuarkXPress 9 ended on Sep 30, 2015, so now you only get help on QuarkXPress 10 and 2015. That's nothing unusual that software developer end support for previous versions. And it had been communicated for a while.

What you may want to do is contact some publishers in your area to see who is using an older version of Quark who might be able to help.
