Q: When using FaceTime, I can see the other person but she cannot see me and the screen is black
I use FaceTime on my iPad Retina display to talk to my daughters overseas. Unfortunately, for the last 3 weeks they have not been able to see me as the screen is black although I can see them on their iPads or iPhones. I have installed all the updates up to and including iOS 9.0.2 but my daughters had not; now they have and the result is the same - black screen their ends. Please help.

Hi MyfromWarwick,
If your daughter is not able to see you when using FaceTime, I would suggest testing your front camera on your iPad and trying the troubleshooting steps outlined below.
Get help with the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
You see a closed lens or black screen
If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:
- Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
- Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
- Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
- If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping
(camera swap icon). If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.
If you can't make or receive FaceTime calls - Apple Support
Take care,
