WiFi disconnects after 3hrs

I have 2015 13" retina mbp. After upgrading to El Capitan I've noticed my wifi disconnects after about 3 hrs and have to click turn off/on to reconnect. This was a recurring problem I had with my 2010 iMac. I don't want to have to deal with this type of thing again. Espicially if I've got a macbook.

Any help what to do?

thanks.

Hey lifeinthedogbox,
I understand that you are having an issue after 3 hours of being of Wi-Fi, it disconnections. I know that can be frustrating especially after gone through that with your iMac. Let's see if we can get to the bottom of the issue.
If you have not done so already, take a look at the article below to start Wireless Diagnostics. This can run in the background while you work to help determine what the issue could be.
Use Wireless Diagnostics to help you resolve Wi-Fi issues on your Mac

Let me know if this helps you out or need further assistance on your issue with maintaining your connection to Wi-Fi.
Take care
