Autosave not working after installing El Capitan

I have recently migrated to the latest OS X 10.11 and have found that Keynote no longer allows me to autosave or save to a Server which is running OS X 10.9.5. Is this a compatibility issue others have found?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11)
