iPhone 6s openes without Passcode

i have a 6 digit passcode set up for my new IPhone 6s but the phone often opens without requesting the passcode. This is troubling being that i have saved many of my passwordNor use Touch ID on many of my financial apps. Please help me be more secure, since I purchase the IPhone 6s for the promised of more security.
