Q: why am i re directed to a website different than the one I want to visit?

From the menu bar, select

           ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network ▹ Advanced... ▹ DNS

Under DNS Servers you should have one or more numerical addresses, such as “192.168.1.1” or “10.0.0.1”. What are those addresses?

Do you use iCloud to backup your Safari preferences? On your iPhone, go to Settings > iCloud and see if Safari is green and also check to see if Backup is enabled/ON.

I find it odd that it would be occurring on both devices.

On your Mac Pro, go to System Preferences > Network > Advanced > DNS and see if you have any DNS addresses listed. Are you using both devices on a public or private network? Is your phone using Cellular while your Mac is on Wi-Fi or Ethernet? Let me know a little more info and we can probably get this squared away.
