Keep getting HDCP PLAYBACK ERROR message when trying to stream NETFLIX!
THings I have tried with no success:
-unplugging Apple TV and hd TV
-resetting apple tv
-all updates are done on both apple and hd TV
-many others
please help I have been working on this for hours!

If it suddenly stopped working, start by replacing the hdmi cable as it may have a problem. You may have already done that under the "-many others".

Thank you yes I have tried that and it still doesn't work. The other thing I forgot to mention is that I have tried my AppleTV on my other HDTVs in the home and the Apple TV works on them.
If your tv has multiple hdmi ports, try it on another hdmi port and change the tv input to that port. Otherwise, I would say your tv hdmi ports are not the current standard, and not compliant
