iMovie cuts the last second of my video

Hello! i have the next issue with iMovie version 10.0.9 (OS X El Capitan)
i have a video, MPEG-4 class, H.264 AAC Codec, quicktime shows 32 seconds of video
when i import this video to iMovie, it tells me that it only lasts 31,6 seconds
.4 seconds, i know it sounds ridiculous but hey, sometimes you need the WHOLE clip.
why is iMovie doing this? any help?
