iTunes will not Sync correctly

When I connect my iPhone 6 (IOS 9.0.2) to iTunes (12.3), my selected Audiobooks are not syncing. My playlists, created on my MacBook Air (OS X Yosemite) also are not syncing to the phone.


I now have installed El Capitan -still no luck!


I listen to a good many books, while walking, on my iPhone. Now, it appears I can only listen on Audible.


Any ideas would be helpful.

Update:


Spoke with Apple Support today, since my iPhone 6 is still in warranty. The young lady and I finally figured out that since my newly created Playlists were audiobooks, they were being synced to iBook.


I felt pretty dumb, but they didn't realize the issue either. Learned something today!
