Device not recognized

I Have plugged my iPhone 6 in but it is not showing in iTunes. I have followed the steps on itunes support to go to device manager and see if Apple mobile device support is installed. I can see from the list that it isn't. Once I follow the steps to verify to see if it is installed, again I can't see that it is. I then try and follow the next steps 'If the apple mobile device driver is not listed'. I get to step 7 but Apple mobile device does not come up to select so I cannot go any further. Please help??
