Is it possible to hide one persons text when trying to restore deleted texts

I am looking for deleted texts from my family and even though I know the dates and times of the conversations I cannot find any texts from my cousin. I know she sent some info.I have tried to restore using outside apps, nothing comes back from her. Is it possible to hide texts from one person?
