Should I use my TC with 802.11n or xfinity modem with 802.11ac as router?

We just moved and have upgraded xfinity services which came with a dual-band 802.11ac modem/router.
I have a Time Capsule model A1409 which has the dual band 802.11n router. Will there be any benefit to
switching to the TC as my router since it appears to have slightly older technology?

Thank you,

Cheryl

In theory, 802.11ac is at least twice as fast as 802.11n

But, you will only receive the benefit of having an 802.11ac router if you have another 802.11ac device receiving the signal.

Just to add.. I test a lot of routers and with older Apple computers and devices.. there is a very good reason to keep using the TC wireless. The router side of things is not relevant.. but keep the TC plugged into the new modem router in bridge mode, and keep using the TC wireless.. as it will work better than AC with majority of apple stuff that is not yet AC.

Should I use my TC with 802.11n or xfinity modem with 802.11ac as router?
