Charging port wear

I have a 2015 15 inch MacBook Pro and the past month or so I've noticed a visual difference in the port. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but some of the metal has become shiny and distorted from it originally looked like when I got it about 5 months ago. Has this happened with anybody else? Could it be corrosion?

I've also noticed the charing port adapter seems to fit in a tiny bit more loosely which could be related.

It's mostly dirt as aluminium won't corrode and there is some wear on the port making it a little more lose to fit. This in combination with the dirt can give the loose fitting feeling. you can carefully clean your port (shut down your laptop first) with a Q-tip or something if it bothers you.

I have completely cleaned my port out of all dirt and everything else. It's not a matter of that. I was just wondering as to why the metal was becoming all shiny and miscolored.
