I need to reset the boot disk but have no working keyboard, please help

I tried to boot to an external hard drive, but now my boot disk is the external and it won't boot. I can't do anything because my keyboard won't work for some reason, so I was wondering if anyone can help?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11)
