I am currently using FCP X version 10.1.3 and I'm trying to update to version 10.2.2. Each time I try to update it stays at version 10.1.3. Do I need to delete version 10.1.3 in order to update? The operating system on my iMac is OS X El Capitan.

Hi! Yes, I have multiple versions of 10.1.3. One is on my internal drive and have one on an external drive.
Try unmounting the other volumes – so the store download only sees one instance of the app.
