itunes won't play on bluetooth speaker

since last update, itunes won't play on bluetooth speaker. It was working fine before update. All other audio including streaming works on bluetooth. Itunes only plays on built in speaker and through audio jack. When song is played with itunes through bluetooth, only hear 'click' when song begins to play then nothing while song is playing. I have uninstalled and re-installed with the same results. Any suggestions?
