I have a 21.5" late 2012 iMac that I just upgraded to El Capitan (OS X 10.11). Now all of my music from iTunes or Radium sounds choppy on my Bose Soundlink Mobile Speaker II. It worked fine on Yosemite. Anyone having a similar issue with any Bluetooth speakers?

I am have the same problem with El Capitan I am using JBL Charge 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker works fine when use iphone 6 to play music.
But on my MacBook its a no go very irritating I use the same set up for my online classes and get the same results. I connected the speakers to my ipad no problem and friends pc no problem. "a is pnt m eady to rouh ut indow" lol thats what Im dealing with trying to use for school. "What th **** pple"
Guess I will be going back to Yosemite. Xcode has turned to **** freezing and shutting down unexpectedly also.

I have the same problem. Bose Soundlink was excellent. After I installed El Capitan, the bluetooth streaming was very choppy and completely unusable for audio books or music. I hope an update will come out soon.
Same issue.
I have same problem with Bluetooth only if streamed through Safari on my iMac. Very choppy if i try to stream Pandora or watch a Youtube video through my Bose Soundlink or my Beats Studio Wireless headphones. Absolutely works fine using my iPhone 5 iOS 9.0.2
Correction...its very choppy using iTunes or Safari.
I used to have choppy bluetooth sound with Yosemite if my Bluetooth trackpad was connected. As soon as I selected "Disconnect" for the bluetooth connection of the trackpad the choppiness went away.

Didn't work Mr. Wilson. Thanks. Every time the choppiness occurs the pointer on my mouse freezes on the screen as well.
I Too had the problem and an Apple technician spent considerable time helping me with it. Finally the only work round was to disable one of either the mouse or trackpad whilst using my Boselink. The suggestion was that I was using too many Bluetooth devices For my 4 year old Mac. Streaming is now no problem as long as I disable one of the two
It was fine before El Capitan for me...why do I have to disable my trackpad or my keyboard for???
I am just pointing out how I cope with it. Not at all perfect but it works, sorry
yea it worked fine before the update also its not compatible with their products then! Also how m I suppose to take mu online classes. Wha. .he ..ck ..ple .ix the prob... this what I have to deal with.

You're right, disabling one of the two other bluetooth devices definitely fixes the problem.
I just turned off my keyboard by holding the button on the side for a few seconds and waiting a couple minutes before restarting it seemed to have fixed the choppy streaming music issue. I recommend everyone in this thread to do it. Seems to have worked
