Bluetooth keyboard keeps adding/repeating letters as if key is being held down. Changed batteries. made no difference. Any clues?

Reset the PRAM. If that does not help, the KB is probably failing.

I have this EXACT same problem. The other aspect I also have is the keyboard loses, then re-connects it's connection via bluetooth every few minutes. I have re-paired the keyboard, changed the batteries with no impaction the problem.
From the response below it sounds like a keyboard issue, but I don't want to get a new keyboard if it's really an iMac problem. Any way to determine one or the other?
