Locked out of my iPad

My son wanted to "Delete" all the apps on our iPad so he wiped it clean but now I can no longer log into it. It was activated with my OLD Apple ID which no longer exists from 4 years ago. From everything I have read it is no worthless piece of junk.

Any ideas?

If you can't remember the account's password then you should be able to reset it via http://iforgot.apple.com e.g. by answering the account's security questions or by email.

If you can't reset it that way then try contacting Support in your country to get it reset : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support

If they can't reset it (e.g. if they can't confirm your id and that it's your account) then you could try going to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar appointment if you do) or try contacting iTunes Support online (http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/) and see if they can remove the iPad from the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they might help e.g. original receipt with the serial number on it
