News app is locked up is there any to reset the app.
Close off all running apps from Multitasking:
Double-tapping the Home button will bring up the device's running apps with the app's icon above the screenshot. Tap-drag the app's screenshot (NOT the icon) up and off the screen. Do this for all apps in Multitasking. Wait 30 seconds or so for all apps to close off fully.
Force Restart (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
2. Press and hold the Home button
3. Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off, then back on displaying the Apple logo.
