iOS 9 not working

Since I recently loaded iOS 9 on my iPad mini and iPhone 5c, they both lock up in all kinds of apps. Another friend has a similar problem. And they guy at the Genius Bar once told me that I should always get the updates because they have tested them extensively before they're released. What can I do?
