Using 2, 7th gen ipod nano's can I get them to both play the same music at the same time?

Only if you can press Play on both devices at the exact same time, down to the millisecond. In other words, there is no automatic way to do this.
When we only had 1 iPod, I received advice on this forum and bought a BlueTooth splitter. It works OK with our LG Tone wireless HP's but the Apple wired earpods sound better. The splitter is also a bit finicky and we need to re-pair fairly often. I was hoping to have both iPods connect with each other (using BT?) and then output the audio on both wired headphones...............perhaps this is not possible.
