replace file in hidden usr/lib directory

Hi there, I'm trying to replace one file in hidden directory usr/lib, but it doesn't let me replace it, or even paste any file there. Some hidden folders are accessible but not this one. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That folder is locked down by System Integrity Protection. You can't make any changes without disabling SIP.

To disable it, you must boot into Recovery and run this command in Terminal:

csrutil disable

Restart normally and make your changes, then boot into Recovery again and use this command to re-enable it:

csrutil enable
