Couldn't read partition map

Hi,

I tried to install Windows 10 on my computer but the setup failed. So I deleted the partition in Windows Setup again, accidentally some other small partition with 200mb. It seems I have screwed up the partition map.

How can I restore it and claim back my original disk space? Luckily, OSX boots perfectly fine, but I cannot delete the partition in disk utility, not even in recovery mode. I get said error:

First ensure you have a full backup of your system using Time Machine. Then reboot your Mac with the Command-R keys held down to load recovery mode (use Option-Command-R if Command-R does not work). Then choose the option to restore your Mac from backup, and use the latest Time Machine backup you created to restore from. This will have OS X format the drive, restoring its partitioning, and re-establish your backup on it.

Hi!

First post here, I'm a mac user since July 2015 (macbook pro 13" early 2015)

I have the same problem with "Littleluk" , I failed to install windows 8.1 with bootcamp and now I can not delete that partition. I get the same error "Couldn't read partition map" ,but I have never used time machine so there is no backup and I don't want to format my mac and lose all my files.

I have tried through cmd+R to delete partition from there but nothing happens. I have tried many tweaks that I saw on the net (I'm searching to fix this since yesterday) but nothing.

There is no other topic with the same error so this is why I posted here

Is there anything else I can do?
