Aperture 3 not working right in El Capitan

It would seem that El Capitan has screwed up Aperture 3's viewing platform:

All my images are bleached and severely blown out in the Viewing Window, yet remain correct in the Thumbnail Bar, making adjustments impossible.

Any ideas as to how to resolve this would be appreciated as Apple Help Lines are very slow at getting back to me or creating a fix.

Many users have experienced the same problem and it is typically related to having On Screen Proofing turned on. Try turning this off and you should see your images rendered without washouts.

Hi Fella's,

Thank you very much, I appreciate your help. This solved the problem. I am greatly thankful there there are people out there who know a lot more than me. This would driven my head insane. Why on earth they put such a daft menu option in there in the first place and have automatically switch itself on.....crazy!

Anyway, your help is greatlt valued, thank you.
