I begrudgingly need to use the Microsoft Office suite (PPT, Word and Excel only). Before I install this, given Microsoft's horrible hacking record, is this legit? If it is, what issues has anyone had with it?

Who can tell with that amount of information? If you didn't purchase it and download it directly from MS, you'd be very unwise to have anything to do with it.
FWIW I have a legal copy downloaded from MS and no issues.

What additional information would you need? I *believe* I downloaded from MS but with phishing as elaborate as it's become and with MS you never truly know.
