Can you set up a RAID 0 Array on OS X El Capitan?

I've installed 2 SSDs into my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro and I want to do a RAID 0 array with them, but Disk Utility no longer has the option to RAID SSDs. I've tried doing it through terminal and it will begin to raid but when it tries to do anything to the start up disk it says 'Failed to open disk'. Does anyone know how i can RAID these SSDs?!

You can but not with Disk Utility. Disk Utility no longer provides RAID setup. You have to do it using the Terminal command, diskutil. If you search on Google you may find a link or two about how to do it on a CoreStorage managed system.

I've found something on Google about how to do it, but everytime i type in the command in Terminal, it does this;

Started RAID operation

Unmounting proposed new member disk0

Unmounting proposed new member disk1

Repartitioning disk0 so it can be in a RAID set

Unmounting disk

Creating the partition map

Using disk0s2 as a data slice

Repartitioning disk1 so it can be in a RAID set

Unmounting disk

Can't write the RAID partition map on disk1

Error: -69877: Couldn't open device

Can you set up a RAID 0 Array on OS X El Capitan?
