whatsapp and text freezing after downloading ios9

Since downloading ios9 and ios9.02 I am having issues texting, using whatsapp and emailing.

The text is freezing and sometimes not typing at all.

In addition, the keyboard cannot seem to cope with switching between emojis and text.

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated? This was never an issue prior to the software update.
