dropbox

Hi

I am using an applemac computer of which I do not know the make.

I have drop box installed but am not able to receive any outside/updates data from others.

Drop box is sitting on my computer like a library that I cannot add to.

Can anyone help please as I use drop box for business.

Although I am familiar with using my computer I would say i am a novice in relation to processes of updating , etc.

Many Thanks

Deborah

The 'make' is Apple, but what model is it, with what operating system?

Dropbox requires (or at any rate 'recommends') OSX 10.6.8. https://www.dropbox.com/en/help/3

Dropbox basically installs a folder whose contents sync to an equivalent folder on any computer signed into the same account. To share files or folders with people having another Dropbox account please see their Help page:

don't even think you need to install dropbox to get access to dropbox stuff shared with you you just need an account the rest is done using your internet browser

the only purpose of the dropbox program to be installed on your computer is so the things you! wish to sync to dropboxs cloud can be done

so your issue really is not with OS X or with the dropbox app on the computer it's with how you access shared dropbox lib in your browser
