I have a question about a peculiar behavior that I've noticed with iTunes and split view in El Cap. iTunes works in split view with Safari, Contacts and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. It does not work with Mail and some third party software. What is the criteria for iTunes working in split view? I can find no rhyme or reason for the way it works.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you are having trouble getting Split View to work consistently. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Enter Split View
- Hold down the full-screen button
in the upper-left corner of a window.
- As you hold the button, the window shrinks and you can drag it to the left or right side of the screen.

I'm trying this on my MacBook Air at the highest resolution (1440 X 900) and iTunes does split view with some apps but not with others. Is there some reason for this?
