Pop up ads are now appearing after every game ends. Why?

After installing the latest iOS for my iPhone and iPad, I notice now that when a game ends, before I can tap the "New Game" button, a pop-up ad appears, usually from Google or about a game. This is very annoying!

Is there a setting in iOS 9.0.2 where I can turn this annoying feature off?

There is a setting in Safari for blockinb pop ups, but that largely refers to pop ups on the internet. What you're experiencing is in game advertising.

You can upgrade to the paid version of the game if there is one.

You can complain to the game developers.

You can stop playing the game.

You can look into ad blocking apps and see of those help (I use Weblock which should stop those since it blocks ad servers in general)

All in all, there's nothing apple does to police the ads that are in a game.
