thunderbolt firmware display update 1.2

I have never been able to get the thunderbolt firmware display update 1.2 to successfully install. I have dual monitors connected to my Macbook Pro Retina. I've tried installing it with the displays connected as well as disconnected.


Has anyone solved this problem?
