How can one share El Capitan Update File
A My Friend of Mine has upgraded to El Capitan on his Macbook Pro. Is there a way he can share the upgrade file for El Capitan so i can update my Mac book Pro ?
Your friend's file will be stamped with THEIR Apple-ID.
Any future problems will require her Apple-ID and their password to get anything out of the Mac App Store. If they is willing to give you their password as well as their Apple-ID, you have in a small way "combined households."
If its not that kind of a relationship, I recommend you download your own. If you want to, you can copy it off to a 8GB USB stick with DiskMakerX.
If you don't have the bandwidth to do this with your Internet connection, go to the nearest Apple Store and use their connection. (They encourage you to do this if you need to.)
