iTunes Match defaulting to off

Since the updates and the launch of iTunes Music, I am pragmatic enough to know Apple want to push that and Match has been deep-sixed, relegated to a tick box in Preferences (oddly now called iCloud Music Library), from once having its own feature on the player.

But has any other user had the continual issue of Match defaulting to off, thus not uploading recently added tracks?
