why do my text messages appear on my husbands phone?

How can I stop my text messages appearing on my husbands iPhone?

iPhone 6 Plus, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

On his phone, go to settings>Messages>Send and receive from. Uncheck your number on his phone. If you share the same apple ID, you also don't want both devices to send and receive from the email address or that'll cross them over too. Do the same on all devices.

on your iPhone: Settings->Messages->TextMessageForwarding: set to OFF all that you want.

Stop sharing apple id for imessage/facetime and icoud.

On his phone go to settings - message - send and receive - remove or uncheck the apple id.

The only thing in text messaging forwarding is my MacBook Pro and it was already turned off. (shoulders shrugged)

When I checked this, my number as not listed. Also, we don't share the same Apple ID.
