Macbook pro suddenly died. It's charging but won't turn on

My MacBook Pro suddenly died and it won't power on again. The power adapter is connected and the light is orange but when I try to turn it on the light turns green but the macbook won't turn on. Once I release the power button the light goes back to orange. The battery indicator says it's charging like normal, even when i unplug the power cable it shows how much charge there is. So it's not died completely but won't turn on or respond to any resets I try. Anyone got an idea?
